Set dramatically between two lakes, this 18th-century palace is one of England's most beautiful historic houses.
Started by Sir John Vanbrugh in 1699, the castle is still home to the Howard family.
The adventure playground, serpentine woodland pathways and huge lawns are ideal for exploring and letting off steam. Families can enjoy land-train rides to the lakeside and summer boat trips on the Great Lake (weather permitting). Children's quizzes and events all add to the fun.
Pathways weave through 1,000 acres of gardens filled with temples, lakes, statues and fountains. Revealing in turn hidden glades, breathtaking views, and displays of colour all year.
